  2. Receipt of messages via the contact form on our website and response to such messages;
  3. Sending our newsletter and marketing material, as well as analysis of the effectiveness of our newsletter;
  4. Sending press emails via our press distribution list and analysing the effectiveness of our press emails;
  5. Enforcing or defending legal claims in connection with our website;
  6. Compliance with legal retention, information and disclosure obligations;

Only with your consent in our cookie banner:

  1. Collection of statistical data about your use of our website for analysis purposes using the Matomo analysis service; please refer to the section ‘Analysis with Matomo’ further down in this data protection declaration for more details on this;

We collect this data exclusively from you, either because you provide it to us via our contact form or because we collect it based on your use of our website.

For the purpose 1a mentioned above, we also create server logs about your visit to our website. The server logs created contain certain metadata about your visit to our website (e.g. IP address, type of browser used, date and time of access). Generally, the data collected in this way cannot be associated with you as an identified person, but in exceptional cases it may be possible to establish such an association by combining the server logs with other data. Similarly, from the data collected (e.g. your IP address), it is possible to determine that several different accesses originate from the same person. Only in exceptional cases do we review and evaluate these server logs.

This processing of your personal data for the purposes mentioned in point 1 is based on the following legal grounds:

The processing of data for these purposes is based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the performance of our website and our legitimate interest in asserting and defending ourselves against any legal claims that arise, may arise or are asserted in connection with our website (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

The processing of the data you enter in our website contact form for this purpose 1b) is based on the fact that we have a legitimate interest in being able to receive, process and respond to your contact messages (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

In any case, we will retain your personal data for as long as there are legal retention obligations (in particular, the seven-year retention period provided for in Section 212 of the Austrian Commercial Code (UGB)), or until the limitation periods for any legal claims have expired.
We will retain your data beyond these periods if we need it to assert or defend against specific legal claims.
Our server log files are retained for one month and then automatically deleted or anonymised.

We use the open source analysis service Matomo on this website (purpose 1g above).
If you consent to data processing by Matomo in our cookie banner, we collect statistical data using Matomo to analyse how you use and share our website and how you interact with it.
This involves the collection of statistical data using unique user identifiers stored in cookies, your abbreviated IP address and other metadata about your device and browser.
We use this data to understand how our website is used and thus to make our web offering as attractive as possible for you. We only process and store this data in aggregated form; all non-aggregated data collected in this way is deleted or anonymised immediately after aggregation.
The data collected in this way is collected and stored directly by us and, with the exception of our IT service provider, is not available to third parties.
